The Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) has been established through an act of the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, namely the “Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University Act, 2019” (Delhi Act 04 of 2020) to provide quality education in applied sciences and skill education.


The University aims to equip students with world-class skill education to enable access to aspirational jobs and inculcate entrepreneurial mindset and entrepreneurship. The University claims that this is the place where the courses are designed keeping in mind the requirements of the industry, where the curriculum is designed for holistic development of students, where attention is going to be paid to the development of the skill required to go out and do the best in the chosen career.

DSEU has begun its admission process recently for its FIRST academic session 2021. The application process has started on 6 July 2021 for its 15 Full-Time Diploma Courses, 4 Part-time Diploma courses, 12 Bachelor degree courses in a variety of domains, and 6 Btech Degree courses in different specializations. The University has 13 campuses spread all over Delhi to conduct these courses. However, all courses are not offered on all campuses. Hence, check the Information bulletin to find out your desired course and in which campuses it is offered.

The University offers 15 Full-Time Diploma courses in the creative economy and engineering fields pertaining to Applied Arts; Architecture; Automobile Engineering; Chemical Engineering; Civil Engineering; Computer Engineering; Cosmetology and Health; Electrical Engineering; Electronics Engineering; Fashion Design; Interior Design; Mechanical Engineering; Pharmacy; Printing Technology; Tool and Die Making. There is a provision of lateral entry to these diploma courses too. For the working students, there are 4 Diploma courses in Part-Time mode pertaining to Automobile Engineering; Civil Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering. The eligible candidates for these Diploma courses shall appear for the Common Entrance Test conducted by DSEU. The university will offer admissions to the Diploma courses through a merit list created on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in CET (Common Entrance Test). There are 12 Bachelor degree courses in a variety of domains related to BA in Aesthetics and Beauty Therapy; BA in Digital Media and Design; BA in Spanish; BBA in Banking, Financial Services and Insurance; BBA in Facilities and Hygiene Management; BBA in Retail Management; BCOM in Business Process Management; BSC in Data Analytics; BSC in Medical Laboratory Technology; BMS in e-Commerce Operations; BMS in Land Transportation; Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA). Moreover, it is offering 6 BTECH courses in Mechanical and Automation, Electronics & Communication Engineering(ECE), Computer Science Engineering(CSE), Mechanical Engineering(ME), Tool Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering ( Total 6 Specialisation). The admission to the BTECH course shall be done on the basis of JEE Main 2021score. The 12 other Bachelor Degree courses (B.A./ B.Com./ B.Sc./ BBA/ BMS) admission will be based on the basis of 12th marks. Moreover, the candidates applying for any of these Degree courses (Except BTECH) have to take the mandatory non-proctored interest profiling test called PEG. The test is available online at the University's website and is free of cost. The test does not require any preparation and takes approximately 40 minutes to complete. The University offers 2 Masters' Degree courses related to MTECH (Tool Engineering) and MCA (Master in Computer Application). The admission to the MTech course shall be on the basis of the GATE 2021 score and the MCA course on the NIMCET 2021 score. Moreover, DSEU plans to start many short terms courses and Industry Integrated Specialized Professional courses in the near future which will be industry skill-oriented domains. The course curriculum is based on industry requirements and will help graduates to be career-ready. The course fee is very reasonable and affordable. Moreover, the University will provide opportunities for scholarships, freeships, and financial assistance for getting loans and support from the Delhi government schemes for higher education. The University reserves 85% of seats in all the courses for candidates belonging to the Delhi region and 15% of seats are earmarked for students belonging outside the Delhi region. The University aims to provide very good practical hands-on experience to its students with good Industry linkage. The University is offering multiple entry and exit options as part of all the undergraduate degree (except B.Tech.) courses. This is in keeping with the new National Education Policy-2020 that allows students to accumulate credits and gives the flexibility to join a course or leave a course with a Diploma at the end of the first year, with an Advanced Diploma at the end of the second year and with the completion of 3 years will be awarded a Degree. The students can also enter the courses in the second and third years if they have completed the required credits from DSEU or other universities.

The main focus of the DSEU is to promote entrepreneurship skills amongst youngsters. It has set up a great platform for the brilliant minds who are waiting for a good opportunity and place to sharpen their entrepreneurship skills with skill-based courses in tune with NEP-2020 guidelines. It is indeed a great start by the Delhi state government in redefining skill education and contributing to Skill India with an aim of a good industry interface.
